Over 35 years serving dublin

Dublin Hearing Aid Centre was set up at 67 Lower Dorset Street in 1985 by Gerry Kenny. In the same year, Brian started to work as a technician in Advance Hearing Aid Centre who were then located in Store Street beside Busaras, having been interviewed and hired by Jim Sharkey. (Louise was 2 months old at the time)

Brian moved with Advance to Aston Quay in the same year, and continued with them for 10 years before leaving to set up his own Hearing Aid Manufacturing company. Acoustic Technologies is still going strong under new ownership.

In 2014 Brian took over at Dublin Hearing Aid Centre from Gerry who was retiring. Having been the main supplier of hearing aids to Gerry, Brian was the ideal candidate to ensure that patients continued to get the very best in care going forward.

In 2017 Brian bought the remaining parts of Advance Hearing in Dublin and Raheny and in 2019 incorporated all into Dublin Hearing Aid Centre in Dorset Street.

Our long term colleague and mentor, Jim Sharkey, having joined us again with the Advance take over in 2017, decided to retire finally in 2019. We wish him a long and happy retirement and we will keep in regular touch.

Sadly, Gerry Kenny passed away in 2019 following a short illness, he is greatly missed.

Dublin Hearing Aid Centre is a family business owned by Brian and Yvonne Coffey, and they were joined in 2013 by their Daughters Louise as Audiologist, and Susan at Accounts.
